Le 27 avril 2016, Metronom a célébré 10 ans d'exploitation des trains régionaux rapides entre Hambourg et Hanovre et, alors qu'il était à l'arrêt à Hambourg-Harburg, le Metronom 146 542 ne cache pas le dixième anniversaire. Dix ans plus tard cependant, Metronom a disparu en raison de graves difficultés financières.

Metronom/Start 246 005 pushes a regional train out of Hamburg-Harburg to Cuxhaven on 13 February 2026. The Metronom franchise was to last untill December 2028, but financial difficulties led to the termination of the contract in 2026, DB Regio daughter Start taking over.

DB 218 397 has coupled herself to a Class 101 with her IC service to Hamburg from Stralsund via Lübeck and Rostock in Lübeck Hbf on 18 February 2026. Due to construction works between Hamburg and Rostock, a detour via Lübeck Hbf was on order -including a change of travel direction and traction, since Lübeck <=> Rostock is still not under the wires. To cut something of the delay, the electric loco stays on the train.

On 16 February 2026 RDC DE 2700-03 SANDY oozes at Niebüll in the far North of Germany. Even in rather off-season periods three car carrying trains can be spotted between Niebüll and Westerland (Sylt) -there are no roads between the two cities and all traffic has to take the train that crosses the sea arms over the Hindenburg causeway.

TRI operates the stopping train RB37 between Neuss Hbf and Krefeld Hbf on behalf of National Express, whose new EMUs are still not functioning. To offer a service on the 18 minutes ride between Neuss and Krefeld, older stock is drafted in with loco haulage that suffers from/is graced by a variety of modern and old locos. The appearance of E40 1313 (ex-DB 139 313) on this service was however a rarity. On 23 September 2026 E40 1313 pushes the RB37 out of Krefeld-Oppum to Krefeld Hbf.

La locomotive 193 074, louée par SBB Cargo, occupe une grande partie du cadre alors qu'elle tracte un long train de marchandises près de Ligerz au kilomètre 94,5. Le train se dirige vers Bienne. Le lundi 21 septembre 20267, la grande (et peut-être dernière) fête des trains rétro dans et autour de Benesov u Prahy est terminée. La plupart des trains spéciaux sont rentrés chez eux le dimanche soir précédent, mais une lourde tâche reste à accomplir : la EBS 142 001 (la plus puissante de toutes les Ludmillas) et sa sœur un peu moins puissante, la junior 132 334, vont tracter la locomotive à vapeur suisse/française 241A65, quelques voitures suisses et allemandes ainsi que la locomotive à vapeur 41 1144 de Benesov u Prahy, où cette photo a été prise, jusqu’à Weimar. Peu après avoir été photographiée, une Bardotka commencera une heure d’opérations de manœuvre en sortant les Ludmillas du dépôt.
Ici, nous voyons le service Erfurter bahn 142 001 - la plus puissante de toutes les Ludmillas.
