El 27 de abril de 2016, Metronom celebró 10 años de operaciones en los trenes regionales rápidos entre Hamburgo y Hannover y mientras estaba detenido en Hamburgo-Harburg, el Metronom 146 542 no oculta el décimo aniversario. Sin embargo, diez años después, Metronom se vino abajo debido a grandes dificultades financieras.

DB 218 397 has coupled herself to a Class 101 with her IC service to Hamburg from Stralsund via Lübeck and Rostock in Lübeck Hbf on 18 February 2026. Due to construction works between Hamburg and Rostock, a detour via Lübeck Hbf was on order -including a change of travel direction and traction, since Lübeck <=> Rostock is still not under the wires. To cut something of the delay, the electric loco stays on the train.

On 16 February 2026 RDC DE 2700-03 SANDY oozes at Niebüll in the far North of Germany. Even in rather off-season periods three car carrying trains can be spotted between Niebüll and Westerland (Sylt) -there are no roads between the two cities and all traffic has to take the train that crosses the sea arms over the Hindenburg causeway.

TRI operates the stopping train RB37 between Neuss Hbf and Krefeld Hbf on behalf of National Express, whose new EMUs are still not functioning. To offer a service on the 18 minutes ride between Neuss and Krefeld, older stock is drafted in with loco haulage that suffers from/is graced by a variety of modern and old locos. The appearance of E40 1313 (ex-DB 139 313) on this service was however a rarity. On 23 September 2026 E40 1313 pushes the RB37 out of Krefeld-Oppum to Krefeld Hbf.

El lunes 21 de septiembre de 20267 termina la gran (y posiblemente última) bonanza de trenes retro en y alrededor de Benesov u Prahy. La mayoría de los trenes especiales regresaron a casa la noche del domingo anterior, pero aún queda una tarea enorme por hacer: la EBS 142 001 (la más potente de todas las Ludmillas) y su hermana junior un poco menos potente 132 334 remolcarán la locomotora de vapor suiza/francesa 241A65, algunos coches suizos y alemanes y la locomotora de vapor 41 1144 desde Benesov u Prahy, donde se tomó esta foto, hasta Weimar. Poco después de ser fotografiada, una Bardotka comenzará una hora de maniobras remolcando las Ludmillas fuera del depósito. Aquí vemos el servicio Erfurter bahn 142 001 - la más fuerte de todas las Ludmillas.
