Since the routes of the TGV trains to Paris via Vallorbe and via Genève are linked, I was able to photograph the "Olympia" - TGV 4718 in Lausanne when it was made available as TGV Lyria 9774 to Paris (via Genève). The picture also shows that in addition to the power cars, only the adjacent cars are decorated with advertising, but the rest of the train is not.

When the (life) time of a locomotive is coming to an end, savings are often made on the maintenance of the appearance and the locomotive then appears rather unattractive. But she is still in use; and a (last?) photo is definitely worth it. The SNCF BB 67591 in Strasbourg.

Autour de la voie ferrée / Around the iron railway (autumn event 2024) - Since diesel traction (for construction trains) should not be missing from the topic around the tracks, the MOB Gm 4/4 was in use at the B-C in 2004. This presented the opportunity for a surprise - the "MOB Alignment"! The MOB Gm 4/4 2004, the MOB FZe 6/6 2002 (today B-C) and the MOB BCFe 4/4 N° 11 (today B-C) are nicely lined up in Chaulin. After a defect occurred in the BWB steam locomotive scheduled for today, the (ex) ÖBB 2095.13 was quickly brought to the shed in Bezau so that the morning train could run as planned. A perfect example of flexibility!
People would also like to have this kind of flexibility on the “real” railways...
By the way, so that steam could be used in the afternoon, a second steam locomotive was quickly fired up!
