In my opinion, a very special gem of the Blonay Chamby Railway is the Bernina Railway RhB Ge 4/4 81, which is shunting here in Blonay to prepare its train for the return journey to Chaulin.

The RhB ABe 4/4 I No. 35 led the well-patronized Riviera Belle Époque train to Vevey and is now on the return journey to Chaulin, with the train running as an empty stock train from Blonay.

As already mentioned in other pictures of the Dm 2/2 No. 3 Biniou from Brittany, the draisine can be turned independently of location or even removed from the track to allow, for example, scheduled trains to pass.
While for removing it from the track a suitable place to park the Biniou must probably be available, turning it proves to be much easier, but as the following pictures show, every move must be precise and turning requires quite a bit of skill and strength.
Here the turntable of the Biniou is being set up. All parts are carried on the Dm 2/2 No. 3.
The picture was taken on the open track of the Blonay-Chamby Railway near Chantemele.

The turntable carried on the Dm 2/2 No. 3 is set up, and now the Biniou can carefully drive onto the turntable.

The most difficult part: The rotation of the Dm 2/2 No. 3. Since the rotation of the turntable takes place on a ball bearing, physical effort is required not only for the actual turning but also to ensure that the Biniou remains more or less horizontal. The pictures show how strenuous the rotation of the small, but not exactly lightweight, Dm 2/2 is.
At this point, a big THANK YOU for the demonstration that the Blonay Chamby Railway provided here with the Dm 2/2 No. 3!

Done! Now the Binou just has to drive from the turntable onto the track.

The Dm 2/2 No. 3 Biniou - unmistakably originating from Brittany - is standing in Chaulin and will be put into service in a few minutes for a special train to Chamby for connecting passengers to the MOB.

A B-C classic: the steam locomotive of the train from Blonay that arrived in Chaulin steams towards the locomotive servicing and could be photographed with the switch lantern of the central double crossover switch. The image was edited with sepia.

The heart of the Blonay Chamby Railway – the museum and operational center. Maintenance work on the vehicles is also carried out here in the B-C workshop.
The picture shows the HG 3/4 No. 3 and in the background the Bernina Railway Ge 4/4 81, both owned by the Blonay Chamby Railway.

For the season finale of the Blonay Chamby Railway La DER 2023, there was plenty of steam once again: the G 2/2 No. 4 Rimini arrived in Blonay with the beautifully restored A-L compartment coach with luggage compartment CF2 No. 21, built in 1900, and the HG 3/4 is waiting with its train for the imminent departure.

As part of the season finale DER 2023, the Blonay Chamby Railway offered rides to the Baye de Clarens Viaduct to inspect the progress of the extensive renovation of the structure. Fortunately, I was allowed to leave the train under supervision and take a few photos.
