The DB 191 015 is passing through Chivasso with a freight train heading towards Torino. I also really like the water crane on the platform, as it is often seen at Italian railway stations.

France / Railway line / Frasne - Les Verrières

5 1200x703 Px, 20.06.2026

What was barely visible in the previous picture now appears in full size: On the SNCF line Frasne - Les Verrières, an SBB RABe 561 NPZ is on its way to Neuchâtel as a TGV connecting train. The SBB NPZ is operating as RE 18123 on the journey from Frasne (departure 10:53) to Neuchâtel (arrival 11:53) at the level crossing PN 17 between La Rivière - Drugeon and Ste-Colombe in the French Jura.

Unlike the EW I coaches that run to Domodossola, the EW I used here comply with international regulations and are approved for France, albeit probably only on this route.

In my opinion, a very special gem of the Blonay Chamby Railway is the Bernina Railway RhB Ge 4/4 81, which is shunting here in Blonay to prepare its train for the return journey to Chaulin.

As already mentioned in other pictures of the Dm 2/2 No. 3 Biniou from Brittany, the draisine can be turned independently of location or even removed from the track to allow, for example, scheduled trains to pass.
While for removing it from the track a suitable place to park the Biniou must probably be available, turning it proves to be much easier, but as the following pictures show, every move must be precise and turning requires quite a bit of skill and strength.
Here the turntable of the Biniou is being set up. All parts are carried on the Dm 2/2 No. 3.
The picture was taken on the open track of the Blonay-Chamby Railway near Chantemele.

The most difficult part: The rotation of the Dm 2/2 No. 3. Since the rotation of the turntable takes place on a ball bearing, physical effort is required not only for the actual turning but also to ensure that the Biniou remains more or less horizontal. The pictures show how strenuous the rotation of the small, but not exactly lightweight, Dm 2/2 is.
At this point, a big THANK YOU for the demonstration that the Blonay Chamby Railway provided here with the Dm 2/2 No. 3!

Done! Now the Binou just has to drive from the turntable onto the track.
