At the BLS / MLB Grenchen Nord station, the two BLS MIKA RABe 528 134 from Basel to Biel/Bienne and the RABe 528 109 from Biel/Bienne to Basel SBB cross paths. For a long time, exactly 105 years, there were hardly any BLS trains to be seen on this route. Since the opening of the BLS / MLB line, the SBB had been handling the traffic, which, contrary to the original plan, did not run primarily via Delle but focused on the Basel - Biel/Bienne axis. Now, finally, BLS trains are also in operation on this route, providing the half-hourly service together with the SBB ICN.

While the SBB Re 4/4 II 11288 (Re 420 288-3)  AVANTI TUTTA!  is waiting to depart in Martigny with its local freight train, a BLS RABe 528 MIKA from St-Gingolph arrives in Martigny. The BLS train was leased by the Alpes region because the increased frequencies could no longer be handled until the delivery of the new EVO multiple units.

The Taurus II, ÖBB 1116 049 (91 81 1116 049-8 A-ÖBB) of ÖBB-Produktion GmbH, is running on June 11, 2026, with an automobile transport train of the Rail Cargo Group (double-deck automobile transport wagon of the Laaers class (560.2) loaded with cars from the Ingolstadt brand with four rings), through Kirchen/Sieg towards Cologne. On the left in the picture is the former Arnold Jung locomotive factory where over 12,000 locomotives were built, including the last steam locomotive of the Deutsche Bundesbahn, the 23 105.

While the first SCB C4 181 - 186 (SBB Group 67) or Ed 2x 2/2 7681 - 7686 had a closed cab, the second series 187 - 196 was left open. However, since the locomotive often traveled tender-first, a closed rear wall had to be added soon after. This was omitted during the restoration of the locomotive, so it appears in its delivery condition, as shown in this picture. The SCB C 4 196 / SBB Ed 2x 2/2 7696 (UIC 90 85 00 07 696-7) is shunting at Sumiswald Grünen.
On the left side of the image, the BLS RABe 535 124 as S 44 to Thun arrives at Sumiswald Grünen station.

At the end of the trip to Singen, there was something (nowadays) quite special - the DB 218 429-9: The DB 218 429-9 with its RE 3 3057 from Basel Bad Bf to Friedrichshafen-Hafen during the stop in Singen (Htw). Usually, DB 245 are used on this route, so the beautiful DB 218 offers a pleasant change, especially since the elegant locomotive, which used to be seen everywhere, is now quite rare to encounter.

The Class 147 (TRAXX P160 AC3) locomotives have now arrived on the Siegtrack, gradually displacing the Class 146.0 (TRAXX P160 AC1) units on the RE 9 – Rhein-Sieg-Express (RSX) service.

On June 11, 2026, DB Regio NRW locomotive 147 016 (91 80 6147 016-0 D-DB) departed Kirchen/Sieg station and is heading towards its destination, Siegen, operating as the RE 9 (rsx – Rhein-Sieg-Express) service (Aachen – Cologne – Siegen).
The Class 147 (TRAXX P160 AC3) locomotives have now arrived on the Siegtrack, gradually displacing the Class 146.0 (TRAXX P160 AC1) units on the RE 9 – Rhein-Sieg-Express (RSX) service.
