In 2007 125 years of the Gotthard line in Switzerland were celebrated massively and two of the participants came steaming from the Czech Republic. From then on, it has been a constant dream of Steam Story Agency rto invite Swiss steam traction on a train fest on Czech soil. Finally, with the last edition of SSA's museum train bonanza in and around Benesov u Prahy, the dream came true with DDF's 241A65 -a French machine. With an extra train from Praha via Ceske Budejovice, 241A65 enters Benesov u Prahy on 18 September 2026.

TRI operates the stopping train RB37 between Neuss Hbf and Krefeld Hbf on behalf of National Express, whose new EMUs are still not functioning. To offer a service on the 18 minutes ride between Neuss and Krefeld, older stock is drafted in with loco haulage that suffers from/is graced by a variety of modern and old locos. The appearance of E40 1313 (ex-DB 139 313) on this service was however a rarity. On 23 September 2026 E40 1313 pushes the RB37 out of Krefeld-Oppum to Krefeld Hbf.

On 16 February 2026 RDC DE 2700-03 SANDY oozes at Niebüll in the far North of Germany. Even in rather off-season periods three car carrying trains can be spotted between Niebüll and Westerland (Sylt) -there are no roads between the two cities and all traffic has to take the train that crosses the sea arms over the Hindenburg causeway.

Due to construction works between Hamburg and Rostock, a detour via Lübeck Hbf was on order -including a change of travel direction and traction, since Lübeck <=> Rostock is still not under the wires. To cut something of the delay, the electric loco stays on the train.

On 17 February 2026 Snálltáget 193 255 calls at Malmo Central with a fast train from Stockholn Central. This train is one of the very few still to use the surface station of Malmo Central after the delayed, but in the end succesfull introductyion of services through the Citutunneln that save trains about 15 minutes time because no longer they have to change direction.

Test ride for 193 348 at Valburg on 8 October 2026. In 2025 two DB Cargo Vectrons, 193 347 and 348 were deployed om automatic train operation (ATO) between Valburg CUP and Meteren. The driver was present, but did not drive the locos. In 2026, this programme was upped to test complete freight trains and their weight is being increased gradually.
