DB 245 025 stands at Niebüll on 16 february 2026 and waits to get her car carrying train loaded with cars and vans before departure -the only way to reach the island of Sylt on land is by train,

On 16 February 2026 RDC DE 2700-03 SANDY oozes at Niebüll in the far North of Germany. Even in rather off-season periods three car carrying trains can be spotted between Niebüll and Westerland (Sylt) -there are no roads between the two cities and all traffic has to take the train that crosses the sea arms over the Hindenburg causeway.

On 21 August 2026 the Sächsisches Eisenbahn Museum at Chemnitz-Hilbersdorf held their half-yearly loco parade on the connecting track betwee nthe railway museum SEM at Chemnitz-Hilbersdorf and the main line between Chemnitz Hbf and Dresden Hbf. They allways do that during their Heizhausfests (March and August) and on 21 August 2026 one of the participants was ITL 118 552 in retro-DR livery.
