Near Diepholz station a nice vantage point from a small public road ontothe tracks can be enjoyed. On 23 April 2026 -among others- WFL 145 041 hauls a replacement regional train to Osnabrück. Because -again- the new and modern EMUs/BEMUs/DEMUs won't function, many a regional service has to make ado/can enjoy wih loco haulage.

Arnstadter ex-DR Taiga Drum 120 274 hauls some ReKo coaches through the massive area of the Heizhaus Chemnitz-Hilbersdorf on a grey 22 August 2026. The ReKociaches were reconswtructed coaches frombefore WW-2 that could be rebuild speedily to cover for a much needed fleet of passenger stock after the devestations of the War.

On the connecting track of the Sächsisches Eisenbahnmuseum Chemnitz-Hilbersdorf, adjacent to the main line to/from Dresden, the SEM each year hold a loco parade on the Saturday of their Heizhausfest. On 22 August 2026 that loco parade was closed by visiting Pacific 012 104 (computerised number version of 01 1104).

Museum trains won't come much more rare than this one: retro liveried TGOJ Ma 405 stands with two Swiss museum coaches at Gävle station on 12 September 2015. This was the result of a one-off cooperation betweenthe Swedish Railway Museum Gävle, TGOJ and SBB Historic in an attempt to bring over an SBB Krokodil (Corcodile Be/CE 6/8) to Sweden incelebration of 100 years of electric traction in Sweden.

Chemion is active in the vicinity of Dormagen,where a massive chemicalplant is sited and that generates Mo-Sa much local freights thatare hauled by G1206 rented by Chemion from several lease companies, adding a nice touch of coloured diversity on a standard type of train.
