MRB 1440 333 quits Celle as an S-Bahn to Hannover Hbf via Lehrte on 21 September 2026. Because the new Mireo EMUs don't get working due to technical failures, S-Bahn Hannover drafted EMUs from other operators in. From September 2026 however, loco haulage with ex-DR Class 143 can also be on order.

RailExperts 9904 basks in the Sunlight at Amersfoort on 1 August 2026. That day, about 250 railway photographers watched the final test ride of Blokkendoos 9107 (that turned out to be a complete succes). The arrival of two ex-NS 1600/1800s in the guise of Rail Adventure 9903 and RXP 9904 added tot the joy.

On Friday 18 September 2026 Ceske Drahy 362 046 enters Benesov u Prahy and gets photographed from the station's platform. Not only Class 380 are gone, but also the time of passenger train haulage with Class 362 is running out fast, due to the influx of Vectrons (leased Class 193 and bought Classes 383 and 384) and modern EMUs.

On 21 September 2026 T478-2006 shunts one sleeping coach at Benesov u Prahy. The last time, a massive train bonanza was held at Benesov u Prahy is over and a special extra train with ex-DR 142 001, EBS 132 334, Swiss/French steamer 241A65 and 41 1144 has just left for Weimat via Prague and Decin.

On this side of the loco, the modernisation from a Class 363 is clearly visible: the original Classes 162/163 and 362/363 have four 'portholes' on one side and these have diasppeared on Class 363.5. The other side still sees a ventilation grille.

Ex-DB 23 076 stands at Loenen on 5 September 2026 during the yearly held train bonanza Terug naar Toen (Back to Yonder)-this photo was shot from 'my' steam train from Beekbergen. Three examples of Class 023 have been saved in the Netherlands and are in fully operational condition. Thanks to their maximum speed of 110 km/h they can be used on main line running specials, albeit being rostered in as quasi freights, since passenger trains are much faster, where freights mostly run with speeds up to 120 km/h.

Part of a mobile exhibition: due to the centenary of NMBS/SNCB, a museumtrain with old,older and modern stock was organised to give visitors an impression of changes and evolutions with the NMBS/SNCB traction park and one of the exhibits was 5166 of NMBS Holding. She stands at Antwerpen centraal on 10 October 2026.

Thanks to a friend of mine who had an appointment in the DGEG railway museum at Bochum-Dahlhausen on 24 September 2026, some items in the loco shed could be photographed like DB 515 556. Class 515 were battery rail cars (Akkutriebwagen) of the 1950s that ended their service in 1997. Oddly enough, the concept of battery rail cars is fully backon tracks again!

The decoration on the kettle's dooor of VSM 44 1593 is a wink to the fact, that in the 100th year of ex-DRG Class 44 only one 44 in Western Europe is inoperational condition and that that one is outside Germany! VSM 44 1593 readies herself with one of the many steam shuttle trains to/from Loenen at Beekbergen on 5 September2026 during the Terug naar Toen steam train bonanza.

Rather bleached DBC 185 012 hauls a steel train through Neuwied on 30 April 2026. The use of environment friendly paints sadly has lead to the fastbleaching of DB locos because the paints are less capable to withstand bad weather conditions.
