The SEG G 2x 2/2 105 of the Blonay Chamby Railway is en route with its steam train from Blonay to Chamby, crossing the newly renovated Baye de Clarens viaduct. The western section of the viaduct has been rebuilt and will be able to absorb the constant mountain pressure (or the movement of the slope) towards the Baye de Clarens Gorge without deforming the bridge. In Lausanne, the S 40 24633, consisting of two SBB Domino trains, waits for departure to Palézieux. It's easy to see that the leading Domino consists of the former Travys ABt NPZ DO 50 85 39-43 984-6 CH-SBB, B NPZ DO 50 85 29-43 384-1 CH-SBB, and RBDe 560 DO 94 85 7 384-0 SBB-CH. Due to construction work, the train shuttled back and forth between Palézieux and Lausanne, turning around on track 3 each time. This gave me the opportunity to photograph the train in the right light during the coffee break this morning. May 10, 2025

As every year, the popular steam train tour with the Train Casse took place this year. In addition to the ride, the culinary part also contributed greatly to its success. The impressive train consists of 40 axles and departs Lausanne station with the (ex) SNCF 141 R 568 at the head of the train. October 26, 2024

The new cmn transN ABe 4/6 No. 10 crosses its oncoming train in La Sagne. A scene that has gained a certain notoriety, probably because the train crossing has been taking place for years, but only once a day (Mondays to Fridays, excluding public holidays). October 28, 2024

The akiem 64 F4 082 (91 80 189 982-2 D-AKIIEM) is waiting in Lausanne with a track-laying machine for its imminent onward journey toward Vevey. Since the DB 185 took over the Novelis trains, the already rare operations of the BR 189 in the Lausanne area have become very rare, making this aktiem 64 F4 082 (91 80 189 982-2 D-AKIIEM) an unusual motif. Following problems with the ETCS and the withdrawal of the SBB Cargo Vectroms from non-ETCS routes, the SBB Cargo Vectroms can occasionally be seen again on the Simplon line, although the 193 077 at Rivaz, with its three carriages, can't complain about too much work. May 19, 2025

The Bernina Railway RhB ABe 4/4 I No. 35 of the Blonay Chamby Railway, which underwent an excellent overhaul last year, will take over the eclectic trains (except for the last train) at the season opener on May 3, 2025, which, of course, was entirely to my liking. Pictured here is the ABe 4/4 I 35 waiting in Blonay for departure for the first train of the 2025 season. May 3, 2025
