TRI operates the stopping train RB37 between Neuss Hbf and Krefeld Hbf on behalf of National Express, whose new EMUs are still not functioning. To offer a service on the 18 minutes ride between Neuss and Krefeld, older stock is drafted in with loco haulage that suffers from/is graced by a variety of modern and old locos. The appearance of E40 1313 (ex-DB 139 313) on this service was however a rarity. On 23 September 2026 E40 1313 pushes the RB37 out of Krefeld-Oppum to Krefeld Hbf.

Even in rather off-season periods three car carrying trains can be spotted between Niebüll and Westerland (Sylt) -there are no roads between the two cities and all traffic has to take the train that crosses the sea arms over the Hindenburg causeway.
