On 23 December 2023 Arriva Noord 307 finds herself a bit out of place at Nijmegen. Arriva Noord deploys therir whoite and turqouse DMUs in the two northernmost provinces Friesland and Groningen but since all Arriva Stadler DMUs are maintained at Blerick, a transfer to Blerick might be used to deploy a to-be-maintained DMU on NIjmegen-Venlo-Roermond services.

Arriva 323 stands at Blerick on 16 March 2022. Since at Blerick, Stadler have their maintenance depot for multiple uinits in the Netherlands, DMUs like this one, normally seen in the northernmost provinces Groningen and Friesland, can be seen at Blerick oin Limburg on regular basis.

Ex D&D 1404, now NedLox 203 221 hauls three brand new GATX wagons through Kaarst-Broicherseite on 24 April 2024. Interesting is, that this loco is classed as a 203, having the old DR style head lights sen on D201/202 and 204, but not on Class 203.

The "Festival Suisse de la vapeur" (Swiss Steam Festival 2025) - The RhB ABe 4/4 I No. 35 is on its Riviera Belle Époque train on the (return) journey from Vevey to Chaulin. The train has arrived in Blonay and is now waiting for the opposing train to pass before continuing to Chaulin.

At the traditional Gotthelf Market in Summiswald, the OeBB special train from Balsthal, which has become a tradition in recent years, reaches its destination Summiswald Grünen. The train is hauled by the Mallet steam locomotive Ed 2/2 196 of the SCB, built in 1893 at the J.A. Maffei locomotive factory (Munich).

After the travel group had certainly enjoyed a good meal at a winery in Schafis, the OeBB RCe 2/4 607 (built in 1938/manufacturer SLM, MFO, BBC, and SAAS) returned to Balsthal. I was able to photograph the elegantly designed lightweight fast railcar passing through Ligerz, where only part of the former freight shed is visible. The RCe 2/4 607 was the last of seven delivered Red Arrows. The great success of these elegant trains quickly made the limited seating capacity a problem, and the railcars were subsequently used mainly for charter services. In 1974, the OeBB purchased the RCe 2/4 607 and operated the now blue-painted railcar between Oensingen and Balsthal. After an overhaul in 1988/89, it ran again as the "Red Arrow" for the OeBB. In 2022/23, the OeBB restored the railcar to its original form, as it can now be seen and experienced. June 19, 2025

The SCB C 4 196, from 1902 SBB Ed 2x2/2 7696 with the current UIC number 90 85 00 07 696-7, is shunting in Sumiswald Grünen. The Mallet locomotive was built in 1893 at the J.A. Maffei locomotive factory (Munich). The steam locomotive was in service on the Hauenstein Line until 1915. Subsequently, it operated on the Le Pont - Le Brassus route with a short stay in Bavaria in 1918. In 1938, the locomotive was retired and stored until it was refurbished in 1958 and 1993. Today, the steam locomotive belongs to SBB Historic and is maintained and operated by the OeBB.
