A miserable (cell phone) photo quality, a miserable photo location - but when was the last time a passenger train ran with an SBB Re 6/6? For this reason I dare to show this picture here: the SBB Re 6/6 11622 (Re 620 022-4) Suhr is waiting for the departure in Lausanne with the traditional New Year's Eve train of the L'Association 141 R 568 . *To my amazement the answer should be: 12/15/24!

A few weeks ago, when SBB and TI in Milan announced new direct connections from Zurich to Livorno and Firenze, a green Pinocchio was presented to the press. Accordingly, Treniatlia is undergoing a renovation of its ETR 610, which also includes painting it in the new eC colors. Today I finally managed to photograph such an ETR 610, even though the location and light were not ideal. The FS Trenitlia ETR 610 004 is traveling as EC 40 from Milano to Genève and shows itself at the stop in Lausanne.

The FS Trentalia ETR 610 004 (UIC 93 85 5 610 404-1 CH-TI) in the new Trenitalia eC livery as EC 40 at the stop in Lausanne. Interestingly, the train lacks the red warning bar at the front, which is mandatory in Italy.

The first encounter with the new ETR 610 was interesting and there will certainly be more pictures in better conditions, but it was also an incentive to capture the old color scheme as often as possible.

The BD Mutschälle-Zähni : The BDe 4/4 10 was put into operation in 1928. This railcar was built by the Schweizerische Wagonfabrik in Schlieren and the Maschinenfabrik Oerlikon, both factories not far from the Bremgarten Dietikon Railway in the Limmattal or near Zurich. The 16.22 meter long, 32 ton heavy and 45 km/h fast railcar was in use with the BD with its sister vehicle BDe 4/4 11 until 1986. While the BDe 4/4 11 has now been scrapped, the BDe 4/4 10 could be converted into a company car. The railcar, which is now used as the Mutschälle-Zähni in the special train, offers in many respects a valued contribution to exclusive nostalgic traffic and an interesting contrast to scheduled traffic. Today the “Mutschälle-Zähni” is waiting to be used as a “fondue tram” as part of the famous Bremgarten Christmas market.

A somewhat daring picture given the lighting conditions: the BLS Re 4/4 191 is waiting in Goppenstein with its (quite short) car tunnel train (AT1) in a structure for the departure to Kandersteg. The “superstructure” is called the “Meigenbachtunnel” and is 114 meters long. Sept. 12, 2024

The Re 4/4 I 10039 provides the special train 31131 in Lausanne. The train runs for a tour group to Zurich Enge (with a stop in Palézieux). The train consists of the Le Salon Bleu 61 85 80-90 200-6 CH-IRSI, the 56 80 89-80 010-2 WGm D-IRSI and the Am 56 80 10-40 360-4 D-IRSI. Since the TEE Rheingold Genève - Amsterdam, at the end of its service life many years ago, consisted of a DB dining car, a DB compartment car and a DB open-plan car and was also pulled by a Re 4/4 I, today's train brings back memories of the TEE 6 / 7, which ran from Geneva for the last time on May 23, 1982 (and then stayed on the Basel - Amsterdam section for a good two years). Unfortunately the Re 4/4 I 10039 was a bit clumsy in front of the sign Crossing the tracks prohibited, and unfortunately these lighting conditions were not for my little snapshots, so I'm showing a cell phone picture here as an exception.

The Re 4/4 I 10039 is waiting in Lausanne with its special train 31131 to depart for the destination Zurich Enge. The Re 4/4 I now belongs to SWISS RAIL TRAFFIC and was previously on the Mittelthurgaubahn as Re 416 628 and was previously used by the SBB with the number 10039, which is still registered today. At that time, the locomotive, which was delivered on December 22, 1950, still had the chrome letters SBB - CFF or SBB - FFS on the side walls.
