Ex-NS 7853 'NAVIZENCE' runs round at Haaksbergen, head station of the MBS, on 23 October 2016. This engine is of Swiss design and was ordered by NS after the Second World war to rebuild the very depleted locomotive parc. SBB just had sidelined a massive bunch of C- tank engines due to their electrification programme and Nederlandsche Spoorwegen bought some of these locos fo9r local passenger and freight services. 

Ex-SBB 8492 hauls a steam shuttle through Brugg AG station on 25 May 2019. Each year at the weekend of Ascension, Verein Mikado 1244 organises an exhibition at the SBB works in Brugg AG -these works also are the headquarters of this preservation society- and amongst t5he attractions there are half hourly steam shuttles between the SBB station and the SBB works. 
