Ex-NS 7853 'NAVIZENCE' runs round at Haaksbergen, head station of the MBS, on 23 October 2016. This engine is of Swiss design and was ordered by NS after the Second World war to rebuild the very depleted locomotive parc. SBB just had sidelined a massive bunch of C- tank engines due to their electrification programme and Nederlandsche Spoorwegen bought some of these locos fo9r local passenger and freight services.

On 21 October 2012, ex-NS (and former BR War department) 8811 returned to active service with the Rotterdam based preservation society SSN and the loco is seen here with cab rides at Rotterdam SSN.

This class of locomotives were deployed in the very south of the Netherlands and this engine used to be LTM-26 (Limburgsche Tram Maatschappij) before being rescued by the West-Frisian Stoomtram Hoorn-Medemblik (West-Frisia being the region around Hoorn and Medemblik). 
