Ex-NS 7853 'NAVIZENCE' runs round at Haaksbergen, head station of the MBS, on 23 October 2016. This engine is of Swiss design and was ordered by NS after the Second World war to rebuild the very depleted locomotive parc. SBB just had sidelined a massive bunch of C- tank engines due to their electrification programme and Nederlandsche Spoorwegen bought some of these locos fo9r local passenger and freight services.

The decoration on the kettle's dooor of VSM 44 1593 is a wink to the fact, that in the 100th year of ex-DRG Class 44 only one 44 in Western Europe is inoperational condition and that that one is outside Germany! VSM 44 1593 readies herself with one of the many steam shuttle trains to/from Loenen at Beekbergen on 5 September2026 during the "Terug naar Toen" steam train bonanza.

TKp23 'Slask' stands at Beekbergen on 5 September 2026 during the Terug-naar-Toen festivities. After several attempts by VSM to sell the loco, they decided to give her an at least cosmetical restoration.

After a decade of restoration, ex-DR ReKo Kriegslok of the VSM 52 8139 is back on tracks and on 5 September 2026 she stands at Loenen tender in front before a steam shuttle service to Dieren via Eerbeek.

After ten years of restauration, ZLSM, ex VSM 52 532 is active again sincs May 2026. Here she stands at Schin op Geul on 19 August 2026 before a fully loaded steam train to Simpelveld. This train arrived 20 minutes earlier from Simpelveld, so a quick run round of the old steamer was on order -and performed perfectly.
