Ex-NS 7853 'NAVIZENCE' runs round at Haaksbergen, head station of the MBS, on 23 October 2016. This engine is of Swiss design and was ordered by NS after the Second World war to rebuild the very depleted locomotive parc. SBB just had sidelined a massive bunch of C- tank engines due to their electrification programme and Nederlandsche Spoorwegen bought some of these locos fo9r local passenger and freight services.

A nice surprise at Beekbergen during the VSM spectacle Terug-naar-Toen: Polish tank engine TKp23 stands -at least externally- restored in the depot at Beekbergen. For years within the ranks of VSM there was some talk about discarding this Polish machine. 
