The picture from Lausanne shows an IR 15 to Geneva and an IC1 to St. Gallen.

The Festival Suisse de la vapeur (Swiss Steam Festival 2025) always delights (at least me) with its eclectically operated trains, such as the magnificent Bernina Railway RhB Ge 4/4 81 of the Blonay

The CEV MVR ABeh 2/6 7508 is arrivig at the Chamby Station.

The SBB Cargo 193 060 with a Cargo service on the way to Lausanne by St-Saphorin.

It doesn't always have to be the Château de Chillon... In Rivaz, near the Château de Glérolles, a fishing boat chugs by, making the train in the background almost seem irrelevant, although the SBB RABDe 502 is rarely seen here. August 19, 2024 

On the Lausanne - Biel/Bienne line, long-distance traffic is firmly in the hands of the SBB ICN RABDe 500. However, due to the construction-related closure of the Fribourg - Bern line, two additional train pairs per day run from Neuchâtel to Lausanne and back to relieve the scheduled ICN services. Typically, one of these train pairs is operated by two RABe 502 "Twindexx" locomotives. The photo shows two of the rarely seen Twindxx RABe 502 locomotives traveling from Neuchâtel to Lausanne between Ependes (VD) and Essert-Pittet. The Lausanne - Yverdon line opened on May 7, 1855, from Bussigny to Yverdon, and two years later, service to Lausanne began. On November 1, 1921, the Chavornay-Ependes section was upgraded to double track, and on May 14, 1933, the Ependes-Yverdon section of the line, which had been electrically operated since February 1, 1925, was upgraded to double track. It should be noted that the double track upgrade of the Lausanne-Bienne/Bienne line began in stages as early as 1872 and is now nearing completion with the final section, Ligerz-Twann.
