While the first SCB C4 181 - 186 (SBB Group 67) or Ed 2x 2/2 7681 - 7686 had a closed cab, the second series 187 - 196 was left open. However, since the locomotive often traveled tender-first, a closed rear wall had to be added soon after. This was omitted during the restoration of the locomotive, so it appears in its delivery condition, as shown in this picture. The SCB C 4 196 / SBB Ed 2x 2/2 7696 (UIC 90 85 00 07 696-7) is shunting at Sumiswald Grünen. On the left side of the image, the BLS RABe 535 124 as S 44 to Thun arrives at Sumiswald Grünen station.
