TILO Flirt RABe 524s have been a part of everyday operations on Treniatlia and Trenord lines for several years. But a TILO Flirt in Piedmont, more specifically in Domodossola, is a rarity. At the SSIF station in Domodossola, the SSIF ABe 6/6 35  Verbania  (UIC 84 83 4660 035-6 I-SSIF) is parked. It arrived as a regional train from Re, was cleaned here, and will return to Re later today.

The FS E. 646 127 arrives at the Firenze SMN station with a regional train. Interestingly, the two-axle baggage car directly behind the locomotive is a similar image from December 1987.

Many years ago, I was able to photograph the FS shunting locomotive E 321 009 at Roma Termini. This three-axle electric shunting locomotive was built between 1959 and 1964, was capable of speeds of 50 km/h, and the last locomotive was taken out of service in 2002. Analogue image from November 9, 1984.

In Meiringen, the Ta 2/2 No. 3 can be admired; this battery-powered railcar was put into service by the Oberhasli Power Plant (KWO) in 1931 on the Meiringen-Innertkirchen line, which was still operated as an industrial railway at the time and first appeared in the timetable in 1946.

The Ta 2/2 No. 3 was decommissioned in 1977 and sold to the DEV (German Railways) in Bruchhausen-Vilsen as the T 46 in 1979.

In 2024, the Ta 2/2 No. 3 was exchanged for an unspecified Tm 3, and the Ta 2/2 3 was brought back to Meiringen.

Finally, a  real  Brünig Railway train in Meiringen again! The SBB HGe 4/4  I 1992 Giswil arrives at Meiringen station with its special train celebrating the  20 Years of the Zentralbahn  anniversary. The locomotive, with its typical SBB face resembling an Ae 6/6 or Re 4/4 II, was acquired in 1954 along with the HGe 4/4  I 1991 to relieve the pressure on the Deh 4/4 on the Brünig Railway's mountain section. The locomotive is so powerful that, on the one hand, it was given the name  Muni,  but, on the other, the locomotive's transmission wasn't quite up to the task.  Muni  means something like  bulky bull.  A good 43 years ago, I was able to photograph an SBB Brünig Railway HGe 4/4, and now I finally had the pleasure of capturing this beautifully designed locomotive again. August 23, 2025

The locomotive, with the typical SBB face similar to an Ae 6/6 or Re 4/4 II, was acquired in 1954 with the HGe 4/4 1991 to relieve the Deh 4/4 on the Brünig Railway's mountain route.
