The HG 4/4 704 (ex 40-304 from Vietnam) is on its way to Realp via the Furka mountain line with its steam train.

The BLS Re 465 002 leaves the m Goppenstein station with its car tunnel train.

The car tunnel trains on the AT1 route (and AT2 in high season) to Kandersteg (or Iselle) can be found photographically in a very awkward place in the Kandersteg train station and are therefore difficult to photograph. However, the route to the tunnel offers good opportunities to photograph the last BLS Re 4/4 in use. I still stayed at Kandersteg train station and was able to photograph the BLS Re 4/4 185 with its car tunnel train in the station. The train is waiting for the BLS RABe 521 to depart as R1 from Domodossola to Bern, in order to then travel as a service train towards Frutigen. January 3, 2024
