After it snowed overnight, the landscape above about 800 meters above sea level appears in a magical winter dress for a short time. Reason enough to drive to Les Avants, located at 900 meters above sea level, and capture the white splendor before it melts away. Against the backdrop of snow-covered forests, the CEV MVR ABeh 2/6 7507 is on the way from Montreux to Les Avants as RE 34. January 3, 2025

After having brought in an extra train, EFZ 52 7596 stands at Hausach to take water on 29 December 2024. The extra train is deployed traditionally each year by EFZ between St.Georgen and Triberg -but since both stations are way to small and cramped to gibve the loco fresh water and to stable the train set for two hours, the second train naturally is lengthened to Hausach, where there is obviously enough space to refresh the loco and stable the train set -and giving paying passengers an extra ride!
