An SBB RABe 503 train, operating as an EC from Munich to Zurich, was photographed between Lochau and Bregenz at the approach signal to Lochau-Hörbranz.

Between Lochau and Bregenz, the Thurbo RABe 526 748-9 is operating as S7 on its journey from Lindau Reutin to Romanshorn.

In the opposite direction, on its journey towards Lindau, a DB ICE 4 train struggles through the lush vegetation between Bregenz and Lochau.

With 20% more passengers, the Alpes region is reaching its capacity limits and has therefore leased a RABe 528 MIKA train from BLS.

Domino and Nina are scheduled to be replaced starting in 2026.In their place, the Alps region will receive new EVO RABe 533 trains from Stadler.

Shortly after Rivaz, an SBB RABe 503 (ETR 610) is on its way from Genève to Milano Centrale. On the left side of the image, there was just enough space to include one of the magnificent CGN paddle steamers, even though it is mostly shown in its own shadow. September 30, 2019 
