On 26 March 2017, the tracks between Rotterdam and Hoek van Holland had a nice goodbye (before being converted from normal railways to light rail c.q. tram) with three historical EMUs between Rotterdam Centraal and Hoek van Holland Haven in 30 minutes pattern. The oldest was NS 273 -owned by the NSM in UTrecht- which is seen leaving Rotterdam for Hoek van Holland.

After fifteen years of standstill, NSM's Mat'24 Blokkendoos BD 9107 makes a succesful test run on 1 August 2026 from Utrecht Maliebaan to Apeldoorn and Amersfoort. The 100+ years old EMU is sen here at Apeldoorn on said 1 August 2026. 
