A colorful black-and-white image: The SNCF BB 22391 'Nez cassé' is running with its TER 96634 through La Plaine station and will soon reach France. The old DC catenary masts, retrofitted with SBB overhead line equipment, are still standing and now supply the line with SNCF AC at 25,000 volts 50 hertz. But as hinted at on the far left of the image, major reconstruction work is planned for the station, so the station will likely present a different appearance soon. At the bottom left of the image, a piece of buffer stop disturbs the view but shows that I took the photo from the platform. The TER is on the journey from Genève (departure 9:57) to Valence (arrival 13:13). June 1, 2026

Standing with my back practically at the 1078-meter-long Bois de la Bâtie tunnel portal and using a small free-to-completely-bay area, I was able to photograph the SNCF Coradia Polyvalent regional tri-current Z31507 M on the 167-meter-long Jonction viaduct. The SNCF multiple unit is operating as LEX RL1 23316 on the journey from Coppet to Evian-les-Bains. June 1, 2026

Thus, the trains were temporarily deployed at REV VAUD. And the passengers enjoyed the offered long-distance travel comfort. An SBB RABe 523.5 Mouettes is on the Train des Vignes route above St Saphorin on its way to Vevey. Feb 11, 2023

At the BLS / MLB Grenchen Nord station, the two BLS MIKA RABe 528 134 from Basel to Biel/Bienne and the RABe 528 109 from Biel/Bienne to Basel SBB cross paths. For a long time, exactly 105 years, there were hardly any BLS trains to be seen on this route. Since the opening of the BLS / MLB line, the SBB had been handling the traffic, which, contrary to the original plan, did not run primarily via Delle but focused on the Basel - Biel/Bienne axis. Now, finally, BLS trains are also in operation on this route, providing the half-hourly service together with the SBB ICN. May 20, 2026
