This engine is of Swiss design and was ordered by NS after the Second World war to rebuild the very depleted locomotive parc. How to clear a big rail show? Try a decent down pour, like here on 2 October 1999 during a railway show at Hengelo with MBS-6 HELGA hauling a steam shuttle. Uptill this moment, the weather was glorious and the area full of people. A less-than-two-minuts rain shower was sufficient to sweep the area clean of all people -excluding your photographer...
