Le RFO 1831 tracte le train NVBS Koningsdag jusqu'à Rotterdam Centraal le 27 avril 2026. Chaque année, la société néerlandaise des passionnés de chemin de fer NVBS (Nederlandse Vereniging van Belangstellenden in het Spoor- en Tramwezen) lance un train spécial sur les voies néerlandaises à l'occasion de l'anniversaire du Roi/Reine des Pays-Bas. Depuis 2013, la Journée du Roi se tient le 27 avril, jour de naissance de S.M. le Roi Willem-Alexander d'Orange-Nassau. Le RFO 1831 a reçu une livrée spéciale pour célébrer le 95e anniversaire de la NVBS, d'où le grand '95' sur la cabine.

Prise parallèle : le NSM 273 quitte Rotterdam Centraal le 26 mars 2017 dans le cadre des adieux à la Hoekse Lijn (Hoek van Holland<=>Rotterdam), tandis que la Stichting Hondekop 766 embarque une nouvelle charge de passagers lors de ce week-end spécial, où trois rames électriques de musée ont été déployées pour dire un bel au revoir à la Hoekse Lijn.

FYRA 186 117 s'arrête à Rotterdam Centraal avec un IC-Direct le 16 octobre 2013. Les marquages FYRA, qui ont été un énorme échec, sont toujours présents sur la locomotive, mais les trains s'appellent désormais IC-Direct car NS Reizigers est en train de régler le désordre après le fiasco du V250.
