On 15 July 2022 NS 1746 gets coupled on an ICE-3M that became defective a day earlier near Zevenaar. Due to logistical reasons ProRail stabled the High-Speed EMU at Nijmegen and the 15th NS 1746 was to haul the ICE to Amsterdam-Watergraafsmeer via Tilburg.
