But for the new number system and colours from 1968, 111 112 might have looked like this upon introduction: Train Rental has a nice fleet of ex-DB electrics Class 111 and gave them a variety of colours. Like this quasi retro E11 112/111 112 with the RB 37 at Kaarst-Broicherheide on 23 July 2025. THe 111 112 wore neither the old E11 numbers nor the old blue.

ÖSEK's (the owners of the Heizhaus Strasshof) 6645.12 stands in Benesov u Prahy during STEAM53 on 11 September 2022. Steam Story Agency organises this museum train bonanza each year at Benesov u Prahy, but the future of this great festival might become dubious due to the massive roll-out of ECTS in the Czech Republic, either banning preserved stock from the vicinity of Prague or forcing preservationists to make huge cost in fitting their stock with ECTS.

The end of an interesting journey: The BLS RE 11 4545 departs from Biel/Bienne and terminates in Iselle via Trasquera (continuation by bus due to special services). The train served Lyss, Zollikofen, Ostermundigen, Gümligen, Münsingen, Thun, Spiez, Mülenen, Reichenbach im Kandertal, Frutigen, Kandersteg, Goppenstein, Hohtenn, Ausserberg, Eggerberg, and Brig; but did not travel via Bern. The train consists of the BLS RABe 528 111 and 101.

his image of the train entering Iselle station from the Iselle Tunnel reveals an unusual train route: BLS RE 11 4545 is traveling from Biel/Bienne (departure at 7:34) to Iselle di Trasquera (arrival at 9:58). The train served Lyss, Zollikofen, Ostermundigen, Gümligen, Münsingen, Thun, Spiez, Mülenen, Reichenbach im Kandertal, Frutigen, Kandersteg, Goppenstein, Hohtenn, Ausserberg, Eggerberg, and Brig; therefore, it did not travel via Bern. The train consists of BLS RABe 528 111 and 101. Several buses are available for onward travel due to construction work. The property line between FS and SBB lies in the 169-meter-long Iselle Tunnel, shown here, of which 144 meters belong to SBB.

After the BLS RE 11 4545 with the BLS RABe 528 111 and 101 from Biel/Bienne arrives in Iselle, the line ends on the RE 1 to Bern. But first, the BLS car tunnel train must depart with the Re 4/4 195 to Brig. A few words about the location of this photo. I was standing on the sloping road next to a wall and was able to comfortably position my camera on the wall's edge. The whole thing was observed by Italian border guards, which guarantees that the law was fully observed. August 17, 2024

View from the road crossing of the Gièvres train station, where the Blanc-Argent shammal gauge line intersects with the standard gauge. In the background, the SNCF narrow-gauge diesel multiple unit X 74503 was waiting to continue its journey. The diesel railcar runs as TER 61285 from Salbris to Valençay and has a fairly long stop period of nine minutes. Gièvres train station. In Gièvres there is a connection to the standard gauge line Tours - Vierzon. Unfortunately, there were no standard gauge trains running when TER 61285 was in service. The long stay didn't make sense to me, but it was a good opportunity to take more photos of the train. The relatively long stay of the TER 61285, which I had already noticed when planning this photo excursion, was also the reason for photographing this train in Gièvres. April 7, 2024

On 1 July 2013, ÖBB 4024 088 waits at Wörgl for the return to Kufstein. Much to the chagrin of the train lovers and train modellists in Austria, 4024 088 is picked to wear varying advertisement schemes -and thre or four EMUs with exactly the same number does not enhance the credibility of your average railway model diorama.

On this picture she is about to take part in the Steam Loco Grand Prix of Hungary, the launching signal will be delivered by the anti-aircraft gun seen left of the loco. The rather Teutonic appearance of the Hungarian military re-enactment group stems from the fact, that from 1942 until the end of the (first) Cold War, Hungarian ground forces wore the German helmets.
