Around the Railway (Autumn Event 2024) - In 1972, GFM acquired two railcars, designated BDe 4/4 141 and 142, for gravel transport. These railcars were initially used with gravel trains and a control car. Later, they operated as shuttle trains in regional services for GFM and TPF, each time sporting the then-current livery.  GFM Histoique  restored its BDe 4/4 141 and is displaying it in its original colors. The relatively modern design, combined with the already somewhat dated 1972 livery, gives the BDe 4/4 141 a particularly striking appeal. The photo shows the railcar in Blonay.

The BLS RABe 528 122 is leaving Brig. In itself, nothing special. But this RABe 528 is operating for Region Alpes and runs to Saint Gingolph (and back).  
Region Alpes has leased this service from BLS on weekdays because passenger numbers have increased significantly and the capacities of Region Alpes will only be improved with the delivery of the EVO railcars.

Since the new TMR/SNCF Beh 4/8 92/983 (UIC 90 85 838 0892-2) lingered in Finhaut for a few more minutes before departing for Salvan, I was able to photograph the train, bathed in sunlight, from various perspectives, as far as access allowed.

The LEB G 3/3 No. 5 of the Blonay Chamby Railway is being supplied with water and coal in Chaulin for the next journey. In the background, the BFD HG 3/4 No. 3 of the Blonay Chamby Railway can be seen.  
Furthermore, the picture also shows volunteer staff who carry out their not always easy work behind the scenes, without whom the visitors of the Blonay Chamby Railway would not be able to enjoy the wonderful steam atmosphere. In this spirit, a big thank you to all the hardworking helpers in front of and behind the scenes of the Blonay Chamby Railway.

In Vernayaz MC, the SNCF Z 800 002 and the TMR BDeh 4/8 No. 21 meet, with the identical railcars only distinguishable by their markings indicating the owner, and operationally they run on one network or the other depending on demand.

Due to construction work between Iselle and Domodossola, the BLS RABe 528 operate as R1 hourly (instead of every two hours) from Brig to Iselle. In Iselle, there was then a bus connection to Domodossola. Of photographic interest, however, were the BLS RABe 528 turning around in Iselle, as the next three pictures show.

Between Ligerz and Twann is the last single-track section of the Jura foot line, with a bypass tunnel already under construction, so this wonderful photo spot will disappear in the foreseeable future.

Not only the railway facilities, but also the surroundings of Renens VD station have been completely redesigned in recent years. And now I have discovered that right next to the tracks there is a new footpath that offers a good view of the station head towards Lausanne.  
In the picture, an IR 90 heading towards Genève and an SBB ICN RABe 500 as IC 5 from Romanshorn to Lausanne.
