Not only the railway facilities, but also the surroundings of Renens VD station have been completely redesigned in recent years. And now I have discovered that right next to the tracks there is a new footpath that offers a good view of the station head towards Lausanne. At Ligerz, on the last relatively short single-track section of the Jura Foot Line, an SBB ICN RABDe 500 is on its way towards Biel/Bienne. The work for the double-track expansion in the form of a tunnel is already underway, and in a few years it will no longer be possible to photograph trains in this harmonious Biel Lake landscape near Ligerz.
