The car tunnel trains on the AT1 route (and AT2 in high season) to Kandersteg (or Iselle) can be found photographically in a very awkward place in the Kandersteg train station and are therefore difficult to photograph. However, the route to the tunnel offers good opportunities to photograph the last BLS Re 4/4 in use. I still stayed at Kandersteg train station and was able to photograph the BLS Re 4/4 185 with its car tunnel train in the station. The train is waiting for the BLS RABe 521 to depart as R1 from Domodossola to Bern, in order to then travel as a service train towards Frutigen. Jan 3, 2024

De autotreinen op de AT1-route (en AT2 in het hoogseizoen) naar Kandersteg (of Iselle) bevinden zich op een fotografisch gezien erg onhandige plek in het station van Kandersteg en zijn daardoor moeilijk te fotograferen. De route naar de tunnel biedt echter goede mogelijkheden om de laatste in gebruik zijnde BLS Re 4/4 vast te leggen. Ik bleef nog even in het station van Kandersteg en kon de BLS Re 4/4 185 met zijn autotrein in het station fotograferen. De trein wacht op de BLS RABe 521 die als R1 van Domodossola naar Bern vertrekt, om vervolgens als diensttrein richting Frutigen te rijden. 3 januari 2024 

The picture shows the BLS Re 4/4 185 waiting with its car tunnel train in the Kandersteg train station for the departure of the BLS RABe 521 as R1 from Domodossola to Bern (left in the picture) in order to then travel as a service train towards Frutigen.

For winter sports traffic, the IR 1745 usually runs from Genève on Saturdays and Sundays with the IR 1711 and is winged in Martigny; On the return journey the train runs as RE 18496 (without stopping between Martigny and Vevey) and is merged with the RE 18460 in Vevey.

An SBB Re 460 leaves Lausanne with its HVZ IR 90 towards Geneva. In the foreground you can still see a DKW that is no longer in use, but the actual motif is the Bpm in green/gray directly behind the locomotive. Bpm in and of itself are quite rare, and in green/gray they are almost rarely seen in planned use. The car has the UIC number B 50 85 21-73 518-5 CH-SBB. May 17, 2023

Una Re 460 delle FFS parte da Losanna con il suo IR 90 dell'ora di punta verso Ginevra. In primo piano si può ancora vedere un deviatoio a doppia croce (DKW) non più in uso, ma il vero soggetto è il Bpm in verde/grigio direttamente dietro la locomotiva. I Bpm sono di per sé piuttosto rari, e in verde/grigio sono quasi mai visti in uso programmato. Il carro ha il numero UIC B 50 85 21-73 518-5 CH-FFS. 17 maggio 2023 

The Fildern region is still quite rural, as this picture near Echterdingen shows, even if the city already seems to be spilling out of the basin into the landscape. Probably also a reason why the SSB has extended its U5 line on the Filder to the airport.
