125 Years of the MOB – The MOB railcar: the ABDe 8/8! Naturally, it had to be part of the anniversary celebrations. There is an unconfirmed rumor that this railcar will be fully restored for the 150th-anniversary celebrations. At present, the ABDe 8/8 4001 SUISSE —which has been stabled in Lenk for some time—is still in working order, but it is no longer permitted to carry passengers. Upon closer inspection (although not visible in the photo), this beautiful railcar is in need of a major overhaul at the Chernex workshops; however, there are still a few years left until the MOB’s 150th anniversary... 125 ans de la MOB — et la réalisation d’un rêve longtemps caressé : une liaison directe entre Montreux et Interlaken ! À droite sur l’image se trouve la FZe 6/6 2002 ; commandée en 1931 et arrivée en 1932 — en plein cœur de la Grande Dépression — elle est peut-être arrivée techniquement trop tard, mais elle incarne parfaitement la philosophie de la MOB : être différente des autres ! 125 ans de la MOB : je souhaite à la MOB tout le meilleur, et qu’elle démontre à nouveau qu’un service expérimenté et fiable — une qualité qui a cruellement manqué ces dernières années — est possible. 17 octobre 2026

125 ans de la MOB – pour l'occasion, la locomotive Ge 4/4 8002 de la MOB a reçu une livrée spéciale (ou plutôt, un habillage en vinyle). Personnellement, je l'aime bien, mais cela soulève la question de savoir si une compagnie ferroviaire moderne n'aurait pas dû opter pour un design promotionnel un peu plus innovant. La Ge 4/4 8002 est arrivée à Zweisimmen avec son service GPX Montreux–Interlaken et est maintenant déplacée sur une voie de garage, car le train sera repris par une locomotive BLS Re 465 pour le reste du trajet. 17 septembre 2026
