125 Years of the MOB – The MOB railcar: the ABDe 8/8! Naturally, it had to be part of the anniversary celebrations. There is an unconfirmed rumor that this railcar will be fully restored for the 150th-anniversary celebrations. At present, the ABDe 8/8 4001 SUISSE —which has been stabled in Lenk for some time—is still in working order, but it is no longer permitted to carry passengers. Upon closer inspection (although not visible in the photo), this beautiful railcar is in need of a major overhaul at the Chernex workshops; however, there are still a few years left until the MOB’s 150th anniversary... 125 anni della MOB—e la realizzazione di un sogno a lungo coltivato: una connessione diretta tra Montreux e Interlaken! A destra nell'immagine c'è il FZe 6/6 2002; ordinato nel 1931 e arrivato nel 1932—proprio nel pieno della Grande Depressione—potrebbe essere arrivato tecnicamente troppo tardi, ma incarna perfettamente la filosofia della MOB: essere diversi dagli altri! 125 anni della MOB: auguro alla MOB tutto il meglio, e che possa dimostrare ancora una volta che un servizio esperto e affidabile—una qualità che è mancata molto negli ultimi anni—è possibile. 17 ottobre 2026

125 anni della MOB – per l'occasione, alla locomotiva Ge 4/4 8002 della MOB è stata applicata una livrea speciale (o meglio, una pellicola adesiva). Personalmente mi piace, ma solleva la questione se una ferrovia moderna non avrebbe dovuto optare per un design promozionale un po' più innovativo.<br>La Ge 4/4 8002 è arrivata a Zweisimmen con il servizio GPX Montreux–Interlaken ed ora viene spostata su un binario di ricovero, poiché il treno sarà preso in carico da una locomotiva BLS Re 465 per il resto del viaggio.<br><br>17 settembre 2026
