Not only the railway facilities, but also the surroundings of Renens VD station have been completely redesigned in recent years. And now I have discovered that right next to the tracks there is a new footpath that offers a good view of the station head towards Lausanne.
In the picture, an IR 90 heading towards Genève and an SBB ICN RABe 500 as IC 5 from Romanshorn to Lausanne.

Since the 2025/26 timetable change, regional trains R1 and R2 as well as most RE33 services are operated with the new RABe 512 instead of the 511.
