Sadly, the era of this BLS locomotive series is coming to an end.

Currently, the BLS Re 4/4s are only used in motor tunnel traffic, and even there, the Re 465 is increasingly taking over services.

After the BLS RE 11 4545 with the BLS RABe 528 111 and 101 from Biel/Bienne arrives in Iselle, the line ends on the RE 1 to Bern. But first, the BLS car tunnel train must depart with the Re 4/4 195 to Brig. A few words about the location of this photo. I was standing on the sloping road next to a wall and was able to comfortably position my camera on the wall's edge. The whole thing was observed by Italian border guards, which guarantees that the law was fully observed. August 17, 2024 
