Rather short-lived was the deployment of Vectrons on coal trains by DB Cargo, since the locos were a bit ti light on departure of these heavy trains. At times, the train was started but did not move a single meter due to slip althought the wheels were running up till the moment, the on-board software systems registered a speed in excess of the Vmax of 140 km/h due to the wheels rotating that fast -whilst the train still hadn't moved. DBC 193 320 hauled such a train on 30 July 2019 through Tilburg Oude Warande.

DBC 193 347 tries on 16 April 2026 her luck for a second time during an ATO (Automatic Train Operation) test ride at Valburg. Only the third attempt to quit Valburg to BR Meteren suceeded, the firt two tries of the day became little trials due to malfunctioning software -but that is what's ATO test rides are for... 
