France offers not only fast trains but also very cozy ones: Shortly after the summit station La Rhune (905 m above sea level), the Chemin de fer de la Rhune He 2/2, built in 1914 by SLM/BBC, with a maximum speed of 9 km/h, is on its first train of the day heading down to the valley, where valley station refers to the mountain pass Col de Saint-Ignace at 198 m above sea level.
