MBS 7853 runs light through Haksbergen on 23 October 2016. After WW-II NS ordered many second hand steam locomotives due to the massive losses from 1944/1945. Second hand steamers were cheaper and the Dutch Railways wanted to phase out steam apace, investing in new Diesel and electric stock. Two C-couplers were bought from Switzerland and these Tigerli entered Dutch service as 7851 and 7852. IN 2015 MBS bought a Swiss Tigerli to reeneact these steamers and numbered hers as 7853, following the highest original number. 

MBS, ex SHM 657 KIKKER takes part in a loco parade on 14 October 2014 at Amersfoort. Here, this loco carries the colours of the Staatsspoorwegen (SS) one of the two big remaining quasi-private railway operators in the Netherlands to form Nederlandsche Spoorwegen in 1938. This loco still runs with the MBS, albeit as NS 8107 and in darker, Prussian style green. 
