MBS 7853 runs light through Haksbergen on 23 October 2016. After WW-II NS ordered many second hand steam locomotives due to the massive losses from 1944/1945. Second hand steamers were cheaper and the Dutch Railways wanted to phase out steam apace, investing in new Diesel and electric stock. Two C-couplers were bought from Switzerland and these Tigerli entered Dutch service as 7851 and 7852. IN 2015 MBS bought a Swiss Tigerli to reeneact these steamers and numbered hers as 7853, following the highest original number. Leonardus Schrijvers

MBS, ex SHM 657 KIKKER takes part in a loco parade on 14 October 2014 at Amersfoort. Here, this loco carries the colours of the Staatsspoorwegen (SS) one of the two big remaining quasi-private railway operators in the Netherlands to form Nederlandsche Spoorwegen in 1938. This loco still runs with the MBS, albeit as NS 8107 and in darker, Prussian style green. Leonardus Schrijvers
