Something different: in addition to the recently acquired Lima N-gauge RBe 4/4 1435, I've owned an N-scale model of the U36B "Santa Fe" ATSF 353 diesel locomotive with three cars for many years. Reason enough to showcase the vehicles. The idea is to build a (divided) fairly small model railway for the existing vehicles instead of a diorama. Since technical clarifications regarding the overhead line for the "Swiss" section still need to be finalized, I began by interpreting a small station located somewhere between Canada and Mexico. For this, I can draw on a few old prototype photos from a trip to Florida. Of course, the design is a challenge in terms of space. At least I can show the first pictures. The palm tree is home-made, as is the loading ramp (still under construction). The vehicles are from Bachmann (made in China), and the tracks are from Lima, Roco, and Fleischmann (made in Italy, Germany, Austria, and Romania). April 14, 2025
