On 16 February 2026 RDC DE 2700-03 SANDY oozes at Niebüll in the far North of Germany. Even in rather off-season periods three car carrying trains can be spotted between Niebüll and Westerland (Sylt) -there are no roads between the two cities and all traffic has to take the train that crosses the sea arms over the Hindenburg causeway. 

Op 21 augustus 2026 organiseerde het Sächsisches Eisenbahn Museum in Chemnitz-Hilbersdorf hun halfjaarlijkse locomotiefparade op het verbindingsspoor tussen het spoorwegmuseum SEM in Chemnitz-Hilbersdorf en de hoofdlijn tussen Chemnitz Hbf en Dresden Hbf. Ze doen dit altijd tijdens hun Heizhausfests (maart en augustus) en op 21 augustus 2026 was een van de deelnemers de ITL 118 552 in retro-DR kleurstelling. 

Rail Bavaria 275 108 kruipt op 22 september 2026 door en over Regensburg Hbf tijdens de grootschalige restauratie van de lijn Regensburg<=>Passau. Normaal gesproken zijn er tientallen goederentreinen te zien die Regensburg passeren, op de as Nürnberg naar Linz in Oostenrijk. 
