On 19 September 2026 the Görlitzer Fast Train SVT VT.18.16.07/10 stands proudly at benesov u Prahy and gets prepared for a re-enactment of part of the VINDOBONA train thatran in the 1980s from GDR

All good things come to an end and sadly, the tradition of the train bonanza at Benesov u Prahy, that saw about 30-40 extra museum trains around the area, belongs to these. From 1 January 2027 ECTS will become mandatory on the Czech main line network, spelling the end for mostmuseum trains, since the costs of installingthe ECTS equipment are prohibitive. On 21 September 2026 EBS 142 001 (the strongest version of the East-German Ludmillas Diesellocomotives) shunts Swiss stock, steam locomotive 241A65 and German steamer 41.1144 (both not visible on the photo as the are at that moment still inthe depot) and will haul the extra at 10;15 from Benesov u Prahy towards Weimar via Prague, Usti-nad-Labem and Dresden.
