Disguised as her parent loco BR 27003 DIANA, ex-NS 1501 stands on 24 October 1998 at Venlo. The loco is now part of the collection of the NSM at Utrecht.

In for the long haul: Stichting CREW 2454 bought this 99 years old electric rail car Mat'24 Blokkendoos C-9002 'JAAP' from a defunct preservationists' society that went bankrupt. The new owner, already in posession of some very fine restored items, took no half measures and deployed JAAP on a series of test rides of increasing lengths. The last test ride was on 16 April 2023 and took the 9002 from Roosendaal via Tilburg, Nijmegen, Zwolle and Groningen back to Roosendaal -via Amersfoort, Utrecht and Breda. Roosendaal-Groningen is about the longest ride a train can make in the Netherlands and was an ideal close of the test programme. Here, C-9002 stands at Nijmegen, where she had some minor maintenance before departing for the long haul. Since thereis not yet a category 'historic EMUs' I put this one into Stations-Gelderland.

On a cold 14 January 2021 NS 186 222 calls at Tilburg -the last train to Eindhoven that day. Less than an hour later almost every city and town in the Netherlands exploded into fierce rioting due to the lack of understanding for safety measures concerning world-wide pandemics.

Den 2 december 2020 stannar ELL/NSR 193 766 i Deventer med IC-Berlijn. Dessa tåg drogs tidigare av NS klass 1700, men under 2020 sattes de första Vectron-loken in i kommersiell trafik som test. Efter att testfasen framgångsrikt avslutats, leasade NS Reizigers upp till tolv Vectron-lok från ELL och ersatte klass 1700 med dessa trefasström-lok som fick en gul med blå lackering.

Side view on 2530 at Nijmegen on 15 December 2024. The last of a 130-strong Class of Alsthom-build Diesel locomotives, 2530 was equipped with a raised cab (and lower bonnets) to improve the driver's  view. Due to the strong emphasis on electrification of the Dutch railways (that commenced from 1934 on and was only interrupted by WW-2) the 2530 remained a one-off. After service with the Netherlands State Railways NS she was sold to VSM that returned this loco into her pruple/lila colours, earning her the nickname Bisshop (at requests from the three Dutch southern provinces Gelderland, Noord-Brabant and Limburg, these being staunchly Roman Catholic in the 1950s and 1960s).

The weekend of 14/15 December 2024 VSM deployed six shuttle services with one train set, consisting of a dozen of coaches (from local two-axle wagons to luxurious dining cars) and a steam loco at each end. ON the evening of the 14th however, 50 307 took minor damages and the preservationist of the VSM decided to replace the grossOhr (Big Ear) with two Dutch 1950s Diesel locomotives.

NIAG 186 142 kopplas till SSN Kerst-express med 01 1075 som nu ångar, men inte drar tåget på grund av brist på ECTS på ångloket (nödvändigt för Zevenaar Oost-Elten, som är en del av banan Arnhem<=>Emmerich) den 17 december 2022 i Arnhem. NIAG 186 142 har ofta tjänstgjort i sådana fall, där ett ångtåg är planerat att korsa den nederländsk-tyska gränsen vid Emmerich.
