The BD  Mutschälle-Zähni : The BDe 4/4 10 was put into operation in 1928. This railcar was built by the Schweizerische Wagonfabrik in Schlieren and the Maschinenfabrik Oerlikon, both factories not far from the Bremgarten Dietikon Railway in the Limmattal or near Zurich. The 16.22 meter long, 32 ton heavy and 45 km/h fast railcar was in use with the BD with its sister vehicle BDe 4/4 11 until 1986. While the BDe 4/4 11 has now been scrapped, the BDe 4/4 10 could be converted into a company car. The railcar, which is now used as the  Mutschälle-Zähni  in the special train, offers in many respects a valued contribution to exclusive nostalgic traffic and an interesting contrast to scheduled traffic. Today the “Mutschälle-Zähni” is waiting to be used as a “fondue tram” as part of the famous Bremgarten Christmas market.

When the sun is low, the light reaches the Château d'Aigle too late for it to be adequately illuminated as a background for railway pictures and so I had to look for a new location for this photo, where the TPC ASD ABe was in the middle of the vineyards above Aigle 4/8 472 was photographed as R 71 on the way to Les Diablerets.

Shortly before Gstaad is the MOB Ge 4/4 8004  Swiss Tainable  with her. GoldenPass Express GPX 4065 on the way to Zweisimmen, where a BLS Re 465 will then take over the train to Interlaken Ost.

The last colorful leaves are still dangling on the bushes and trees, the first snow is covering the mountains - it's autumn; and this offers a light that cannot otherwise be seen all year round. Reason enough to take photos despite the cold breeze: The SBB Re 460 010  Swiss Tainable  is on the way to Lausanne with an IR90 near St-Saphorin.

Just a few minutes before the arrival of the GoldenPass Express GPX 4065 with the MOB Ge 4/4  Swiss Tainable  (at 12:22), the SBB Re 460  Swiss Tainable  stopped with its IR 90 Ven Genèe to Brig in Montreux (at 12 :17)! But even if both locomotives had been together in Montreux station, it would hardly have been possible to get both locomotives in one picture. December 7, 2024
