La DER de la saison / The end of the 2024 season of the Blonay-Chamby Bahn - The end of the end: Thanks to the time change, the very last train of the season runs in the blue hour. The Bernina Bahn Rhb Ge 4/4 81 de Blonay Chamby bahn brought the last train to Blonay and waits for the empty material train to return to Chaulin. So the 2024 season is finally over - what remains are many beautiful memories and photos, and of course a big thank you to the volunteers of the Blonay Chamby Bahn for once again a very successful season! The DER of the 2024 season! Mon dernier Train - My last train . Another really nice whistle, and then the train started moving, passed the exit signal from Blonay and is now heading to Chaulin. A farewell picture with probably the only rays of sunshine of the day at the departure of the LLB ABFe 2/4 10 of the Blonay-Chamby Bahn in Blonay. Oct 26, 2024

Like every year, the popular steam tour with the Train Casse took place this year. In addition to the journey, the culinary part also contributes a lot to the success. The picture shows the (ex) SNCF 141R568 immediately after arriving in Lausanne. The impressive train consisted of 40 axles and a pusher block in the form of the Ae 4/4 251 (BLS). Oct 26, 2024

The beginning of the end - a brand new SBB Cargo 193 065 (91 80 6193 063-5 D-NRAIL) is parked in Vevey with a freight train and has therefore already taken up one rotation of an SBB Re 4/4 II. This means that the Re 4/4 II will soon hardly be seen in freight transport any more. October 25, 2024

A sweet surprise at the end of the day: In Lausanne on platform 2 is the TPF RBDe 560 245 CHOCOLAT EXPRESS as an empty material train. Since my little photographer would have been overwhelmed by the lighting conditions, I grabbed my cell phone so that although I didn't get a top-quality picture, I was still able to immortalize the special scene. There wasn't much time to devour the sweet TPF RBDe 560 245 Domino Chocolat Express in Lausanne, in the background you can already see the arriving RE to St-Maurice, which closes the TPF train and is also my train to Vevey. October 21, 2024

So far I have seen (and photographed) the TPC ABe 4/8 471 and 473; Today I can now complete the series with the ABe 4/8 472: The ABe 4/8 472 will soon reach the Aigle train station, where it is obvious that the railway path runs along the middle of the road on this short section. October 20, 2024
