La ex-DB 23 076 si trova a Loenen il 5 settembre 2026 durante la tradizionale manifestazione ferroviaria annuale "Terug naar Toen" (Ritorno al Passato) - questa foto è stata scattata dal 'mio' treno a vapore da Beekbergen. Tre esemplari della Classe 023 sono stati salvati nei Paesi Bassi e sono in condizioni completamente operative. Grazie alla loro velocità massima di 110 km/h possono essere utilizzati su treni speciali in linea principale, sebbene siano inseriti come quasi merci, poiché i treni passeggeri sono molto più veloci, mentre i merci viaggiano principalmente a velocità fino a 120 km/h.

Il 1° agosto 2026 il Blokkendoos BD 9107 della NSM Utrecht parte da Amersfoort per una corsa di prova verso Apeldoorn. Dopo quasi due decenni di fermo e restauro, il convoglio elettrico funziona di nuovo come un orologio.

RailExperts 9904 si crogiola alla luce del sole ad Amersfoort il 1° agosto 2026. Quel giorno, circa 250 fotografi ferroviari hanno assistito all'ultima prova su strada del Blokkendoos 9107 (che si è rivelata un completo successo). L'arrivo di due ex NS 1600/1800 sotto le spoglie di Rail Adventure 9903 e RXP 9904 ha aumentato la gioia.

Test ride for 193 348 at Valburg on 8 October 2026. In 2025 two DB Cargo Vectrons, 193 347 and 348 were deployed om automatic train operation (ATO) between Valburg CUP and Meteren. The driver was present, but did not drive the locos. In 2026, this programme was upped to test complete freight trains and their weight is being increased gradually.
