My last picture that I'll post on rail-pictures.com this year and it's actually quite fitting. The IRSI/IGE Re 4/4 II 11387 (Re 421 387-2) is waiting with its ZRT New Year's Eve train in the style of the Belle Epoque in Lausanne for its departure to Frankfurt am Main HBF. It's been some time since I was able to photograph a Re 4/4 II in front of a passenger train in Lausanne. Since the locomotive will remain on the train until Frankfurt and will return to Lausanne on January 1st, 2024.

Some R and RE trains showed the welcome New Year's wishes Bonne Année 2024!!! instead of the destination station.

The IRSI Re 4/4 II 11378 shunting in Morges. The beautiful "Rheingold" locomotive replaced the BAM MBC's own Re 4/4 II 506 for a few weeks, which was undergoing maintenance in Bellinzona. March 4, 2024 

The SBB Re 420 346-9 is on its way towards Lausanne with a freight train in Morges. On the right side of the image stands the BAM MBC's "new acquisition": the Tem III 329 (97 85 1 220 329-7). March 4, 2024 

While the SBB Re 4/4 II 11288 (Re 420 288-3) "AVANTI TUTTA!" is waiting to depart in Martigny with its local freight train, a BLS RABe 528 MIKA from St-Gingolph arrives in Martigny. The BLS train was leased by the Alpes region because the increased frequencies could no longer be handled until the delivery of the new EVO multiple units. 12.09.2024 
