The (1000 mm) narrow gauge diesellokomotive D5 of the Brohlbahnbahn (ex FEVE 1405) stands at the ready in the station Engeln on 18.08.



Germans steam locomotive waldbröl of the railway museum Dieringhausen stands on 06.02.2011 at the station wiehl. The former locomotive of the Little railway Bielstein-Waldbröl was in 1914 under the serial-nr 2243 by Jung in Jungenthal at Kirchen/Sieg built.

On a grey and rainy 22 August 2026 steam loco 91 896 stands in the depot of the Sächsisches Eisenbahnmuseum at Chemnitz-Hilbersdorf. The weekend of 22-23 August 2026 saw their 33.Heizhausfest (works festivities) with a loco parade and a nice exhibition of their own stock and guest locos.

UEF's 75 1118 stands at Villingen (Schwarzwald) after having taken fresh water on 16 May 2026. Bacause steam loco don't run anymore in standard traffic, moststations have discarded their steam locomotive maintenance equipment, likt water hoses, so nowadays, for fresh water on steam locos, the local fire brigade are drafted in. But when one considers the scenes those brave souls of the fire brigade sometimes have to confront (like being to late to save all the lives...) one can imagnine that replenishing a steam loco's water supply is a rather more joyful assignment.
