That weekend, the 30th anniversary of the last coal-fired DB Pacifics in the Rheine area ought have been commemmorated, but DB banned steam operatoions due to hot weather conditions and the risk of bush fires. Instead of two steam locos, the Dutch railway fans that travveled from Rotterdam to Rheine had to make do with an old electric.

On 19 September 2025 the Märklin Days started at Göppingen with cab rides on 110 469. This TRI loco has received a special livery to commemmorate the 50th anniversary of the "Sendung mit der Maus" (Maus Broadcast) -an education TV broadcast for children. 
