The Infrabel 5512 at Antwerpen Centraal for 100 year NMBS. NMBS serie: HLD 55 : 5512 build by BN Brugge in 1961 with construction n° 205 012. A total of 42 locs were build between 1961 and 1963. Out of service at NMBS: 2009. UIC classification: Co'Co', Max speed: 120km/h, Power: 1435kW, Traction force: 272kN, Traction motors: 6, Diesel engine: General Motors, Weight: 110 ton , Length: 19,55m. InfraBel owns 5512 since 2025 and puts the loco to good use by hauling museum stock from Train World Schaerbeek and other railway heritage operators when the occasion arises -like bringingan exhibition train for the centenary of the NMBS. Here 5512 stands with one luggage coach at Antwerpen Centraal on 10 October 2026. The 'TVM' by the way was an abbreviation by NMBS/SNCB to note that these locos were assigned to salvage duties and ther have been instances when a 320 km/h capable TGV or Thalys couldn't go further and had to be rescued by one of the TVM Class 55s, capable of maximal 120 km/h.
