I was now able to make up for the trip that was postponed in mid-December due to weather reasons (danger of landslides) and so the “last trip to Italy in 2023” has become the “first trip to Italy in the new year 2024”. It should be noted that the trip to Italy was more than short at just over 50 minutes... Long story short: through a fence loophole in Iselle I was able to use my old camera to shoot the BLS Re 4/4 194 with its AT3 ( Birg - Iselle car tunnel) and also include part of the Iselle reception building in the left part of the picture. Despite the blue sky, which here is only overexposed pink, the sun doesn't seem to find its way into the deep valley at this time of year. January 3, 2024

Udało mi się teraz nadrobić wycieczkę, która została odwołana w połowie grudnia z powodu warunków pogodowych (zagrożenie osuwiskami), i tak „ostatnia podróż do Włoch w 2023 roku” stała się „pierwszą podróżą do Włoch w nowym roku 2024”. Należy zauważyć, że „podróż do Włoch” była raczej krótka, trwała nieco ponad 50 minut... Krótko mówiąc: przez lukę w ogrodzeniu w Iselle mogłem użyć mojego starego aparatu, aby sfotografować BLS Re 4/4 194 z jego AT3 (tunel samochodowy Birg - Iselle) i również uwzględnić część budynku recepcyjnego w Iselle po lewej stronie zdjęcia. Pomimo niebieskiego nieba, które tutaj jest jedynie prześwietlonym różem, słońce zdaje się nie docierać do głębokiej doliny o tej porze roku. 3 stycznia 2024 

This picture from Vevey “only” shows one SBB Flirt, namely the SBB REV RABe 523 015-1. What is interesting, however, is the route of the RE 3558: from Fribourg to Le Chable (-Verbier) via the Train de Vignes route. The train runs on Saturdays and public holidays during the winter season.

My last picture that I'll post on rail-pictures.com this year and it's actually quite fitting. The IRSI/IGE Re 4/4 II 11387 (Re 421 387-2) is waiting with its ZRT New Year's Eve train in the style of the Belle Epoque in Lausanne for its departure to Frankfurt am Main HBF. It's been some time since I was able to photograph a Re 4/4 II in front of a passenger train in Lausanne. Since the locomotive will remain on the train until Frankfurt and will return to Lausanne on January 1st, 2024.

IRSI/IGE Re 4/4 II 11387 (Re 421 387-2) czeka ze swoim pociągiem sylwestrowym ZRT w stylu Belle Epoque w Lozannie na odjazd do Frankfurtu nad Menem HBF. Minęło trochę czasu, odkąd mogłem sfotografować Re 4/4 II przed pociągiem pasażerskim w Lozannie. Ponieważ lokomotywa pozostanie z pociągiem aż do Frankfurtu i wróci do Lozanny 1 stycznia 2024 roku. 30 grudnia 2023 
